When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, put it this way, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. The update was initiated more than a year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name link spamming are just for these sites. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.  

Let’s check out a few examples. This strategy worked in the beginning, finally the rank improved a lot, this was the case until google made the change. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, almost no plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? It all boils down to content, when you create unique and quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, for instance let’s examine this one, kaiya eve couture , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, it’s no way this site will rank, right?, actually, no, in reality this site is doing pretty well for more than a few search terms. As we can see, quality article marketing is much better than plain link building. Now imagine you have your own blog network, such as proof coil chain, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, share the content with people, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, nothing will automatically improve overnight, be it your business or search rankings, keep writing, publishing, sharing and creating, you will see the day of success.
